If you are experiencing any issues with your STAR Debit Card regarding purchases and transactions being declined, it may be due to recent international fraud in the United Kingdom and Ireland. This usually indicates that a merchant, for which your card information resides on their system(s), has had their system(s) compromised. We have received numerous fraud alerts this past weekend and are working with our debit card vendor to identify which members may have been affected.

If you have been affected, we will call you as soon as we possibly can to let you know. In addition, if you have been affected, this will require us to re-issue you a new debit card, which you will receive within the next 7 to 10 days. Please be patient with us as we work through this as we expect to be receiving heavy call volume in the beginning of the work week this week.
